🗑️ Delete Account & All Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your Expense Tracker: Budget & Spend account and all associated data. This applies to accounts created by MKN Labs.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account using either of the methods below:

Method 1 Delete via the App (Recommended)

If you still have access to the app on your device, follow these steps:

This will immediately and permanently delete:

• Your Firebase Authentication account
• All synced cloud data (transactions, budgets, categories, recurring rules, goals, payment methods, profile)
• Device registrations from the connected devices list
• Profile photos
• All local data stored on your device

Method 2 Request via Email

If you no longer have access to the app (e.g., you switched devices or uninstalled the app), you can request account deletion by emailing us:

Please include your email address associated with the account and your Google Play order ID (if available) to help us locate your account. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.

2. What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

3. What Data Is Retained

The following data may be retained for the specified periods after account deletion:

Server access logs	Up to 30 days	Security auditing and fraud prevention
Aggregated, anonymized analytics	Retained indefinitely	Cannot be linked to individual users; used for product improvement
Crash reports	Up to 90 days	Firebase Crashlytics retains anonymized reports; cannot be used to identify you
Email correspondence	Up to 2 years	Support request history and legal compliance

4. Before You Delete

After deletion:

• You will be signed out of the app immediately
• All cloud sync will be disconnected
• Your Pro Pass subscription (if any) will not be affected at the Google Play level — manage subscriptions through Google Play Subscriptions
• You can create a new account at any time after deletion

5. Data Safety Summary

This information is provided for Google Play Data Safety compliance:

• App: Expense Tracker: Budget & Spend
• Developer: MKN Labs
• Data collected: Financial transactions, budgets, user profile (name, email), device identifiers (for sync)
• Data deletion: Users can delete all data at any time via the in-app feature or by emailing us
• Data encryption: In transit (TLS) and at rest (Firebase)
• Data sharing: We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for their own purposes
